Dr. Jan H.G. Klabbers (1938) has held professor and research positions in the U.S. (MIT, Case Western Reserve University), in the Netherlands (Radboud University, Leiden University, Utrecht University, University of Amsterdam, and Erasmus University), and in Norway (University of Bergen). He is honorary member, former President, and former General Secretary of the International Simulation and Gaming Association (ISAGA). His publications cover social systems theory, design science and analytical science methodology, and the design and application of gaming and simulation in a wide variety of areas of application such as, health care systems, educational systems, human resources, general management, and global climate change policy development. His book The Magic Circle: Principles of Gaming & Simulation provides the general framework for these topics. Dr. Klabbers is involved in social systems development and action learning.
