The UNEP Sustainable Consumption Network (SC.net) provides for an exchange of news, ideas and questions about Sustainable Consumption. The e-newsletter is also available on the web. Please subscribe and start participating today!
SC.net (formerly the Kabelvaag Network) was established in the fall of 1998, and was facilitated by Dr. M. Nadarajah (Nat) from Malaysia until the middle of 1999 when UNEP DTIE took over operational responsibilities.
Who:
SC.net is for members only; having said that, those who would like to take part in the network are invited to subscribe.
What:
Articles, case studies, good & bad practices, news, quotes and stories, reviews & reflections of books/conferences/meetings & personal experiences, and not the least NEW IDEAS all of this as related to the sustainable consumption debate.
How:
We collect messages sent to the Moderator and on a regular basis prepare a newsletter of significant material as well as from other relevant news and forward the newsletter to all members. We invite you to send your contributions to the Moderator and if necessary we may also send intermediate announcements to the list members if an important announcement needs to be made. We reserve the right to edit & cut the message to adopt it to the overall framework of the page. UNEP does not guarantee, advise or endorse the views or information displayed to the SC.net group. Information must be approved by the moderator, but is the responsibility of the information provider.

Dear new SC.net member (or member name?),
Welcome to the Sustainable Consumption Network (SC.net). We - at the UNEP DTIE Sustainable Consumption programme - believe that the network can be both a sounding board and a place to post information to keep each other informed and to receive feedback on work, events, ideas, and prospects.
